The Dutch experience

Tiistai/Tuesday

Lähdimme tiistaina tutkimaan itse suurta pääkaupunkia, Amsterdamia. Ajoimme kaupungin laidalle, ja jatkoimme sieltä raitiovaunulla keskustaan. Kulutimme päivän kiertäen kuuluisia nähtävyyksiä, tosin vain ulkoa, ja nauttien kauniista kaupunkimaisemasta. Päivä oli pitkä, mutta jaksoimme hyvin eväsleipien voimin.

On Tuesday we journeyed to the capital, Amsterdam. We drove to the edge of the city and continued downtown on a tram. We spent the day looking through the famous buildings, though only from outside, and enjoying the beautiful city. The day was long, but we were able to get through it with the energy from the bread we took with us.

Keskiviikko/Wednesday

Keskiviikko oli rauhallinen päivä. Ystäväni piti mennä tarjoilemaan muiden kiinanoppilaidensa kanssa teetä Kiinasta saapuneille arvovieraille ja menin mukaan. Vierailu oli toki lyhyt, ja vietimme lopun päivää rauhallisissa kotitunnelmissa.

Wednesday was a relaxing day. My friend went to serve tea with her classmates from Chinese class to certain high ranked visitors from china, and thus I joined her. The visit itself was short, and so we spent the rest of the day at home.

Illalliseksi pannukakkuja (vegaani vasen, gluteeniton yllä) ja minulle kiivi :)

Torstai/Thursday

Lähdimme torstai aamuna Efterlingin teemapuistoon. Lähdimme matkaan junalla jo aikaisin aamulla, ja pääsimme perille kohtalaisen pian puiston auettua. Vietimme koko päivän kulkien laitteesta toiseen, ja olin märkä puolet ajasta (onneksi päivä oli lämmin). Ihastuin erityisesti puiston vuoristoratoihin (kuten Python). Tulimme illalla kotiin täysin väsyneinä.

On thursday we visited the Efterling theme park. We left on the train early in the morning, and got to the park reasonably soon after it opened. We spent the whole day going from one ride to another, and I was wet half of the time (luckily the weather was warm). I especially liked the roller coasters of the park (such as the Python) We got home extremely tired.

Perjantai/Friday

Kävimme vierailimme tänään Kinderdijkin tuulimyllyillä. Ystäväni äiti ajoi meidät Rotterdamiin, josta pääsimme itse paikalle veneellä. Alueella oli useita kauniita tuulimyllyjä, juuri niitä joitä lähdin tänne etsimään. Nautin todella perihollantilaisesta maisemasta, ja tietysti Rotterdamin tutkiskelusta veneestä käsin.

Today we visited the Kinderdijk windmills. The mother of my friend drove us to Rotterdam where we boarded a boat to travel to our destination. The area had many beautiful mills, just the kind I Was looking for. I truly enjoyed the small part of traditional Netherlands and the view of Rotterdam from the boat.
