Beijing 2.0

Takaisin Pekingissä! Yhtä aikaa kotoisa että vieras tunne. Lento sujui rauhallisesti, tosin on rankkaa kun lento lähtee Suomen aikaan kello 6 ja on perillä kello 12, jolloin kohteessa on jo aamu. Sain onneksi nukuttua kämpillä lähes koko aamupäivän. Iltapäivällä menimme Sanlituniin, ja lopulta illastamaan u-townin Blue Frog ravintolaan.

Back in Beijing! It feels both familiar as well as weird to be here again. The flight was peaceful, although since the plane departs at 6pm and arrives at 12am Finnish time, it is already a morning in China. Luckily I was able to sleep almost the entire morning at the apartment. In the afternoon we visited Sanlitun, and finally had dinner in the U-town Blue Frog.

Ensimmäinen asia jonka tein Kiinassa? Aamiainen Starbucksilla.

Eilen tapasin kasan vanhasta porukastani Sanlitunissa. Söimme lounasta (taas Blue Frogissa :D) ja kiertelimme kauppoja. Oli ihana tavata vanhoja kamuja, puhua koulusta ja mistä sattuu ja rentoutua porukalla :) Tapaamisen jälkeen kuljin metrolla kotiin ihan vain koska satun pitämään siitä, tosin eksyin kävellessäni kotiin. (En löytänyt kehä kakkosta, se oli aivan vieressä.)

yesterday I met a bunch of old friends in Sanlitun. We had some lunch (once again in Blue Frog :D) and walked around the shopping area. It was amazing meeting old friends, to talk about school and everything else possible :) After the meeting I took the metro home just because I happen to like it, although I did get lost while walking home. (I couldn't find the second ring road, which happened to be right next to me.)

I like how handy the metro is: train comes in short intervals, it is cheap and the clear understandable lines reach nearly every part of the city.

Tänään pääsin taas yhteen suosikkitapahtumistani Pekingissä: Westinin sunnuntaibrunssi. On mukavaa viettää aikaa perheen kanssa kuunnellen bändiä ja syöden loistavaa ruokaa. Heti perään menin Solanaan tapaamaan Mariaa, vietimme lähes koko illan jutellen ja kävellen ympäriinsä. Jälleen kerran, kavereita on ollut valtava ikävä, joten oli mahtavaa saada taas tilaisuus puhua kunnolla.

Today I got to one of my favorite happenings in Beijing once again: Westin sunday brunch. I really enjoyed spending time with my family, listening to the band and eating well. Right after I went to Solana to meet Maria, and we nearly the whole night talking and walking around. Once again, I have really missed all my friends, and so it was amazing to get a chance to properly talk again.
